Care Guide
Pre-Tan Care
How to prepare for your perfect glow.
Before Your Appointment
Exfoliate
Gently exfoliate your skin 24-48 hours before your appointment to remove dead skin cells and create a smooth canvas for the tan. Focus on rough areas like elbows, knees, and ankles for the best results.
Avoid Moisturisers and Oils
On the day of your appointment, skip any heavy lotions, oils, or moisturisers. These can create a barrier that prevents the tanning solution from adhering properly to your skin.
Shave, Wax, Sugar or Laser
For a flawless tan, make sure to shave, wax, sugar, or have laser hair removal at least 48 hours before your appointment. If you are shaving, use a clear shower gel — avoid creamy liquid soaps or bar soaps. Rinse with cool water. This gives your skin time to recover and helps avoid any irritation.
Mani-Pedi
We recommend getting your manicure and pedicure before your spray tan — not after. This helps ensure an even application and prevents your tan from being disrupted.
Clean Skin
Wash your skin using a mild, non-moisturising soap. Avoid any body washes that are oil-based or have heavy fragrances as they can interfere with the tanning process.
Avoid Deodorant and Perfume
On the day of your appointment, skip deodorant and perfume as these can create uneven patches in the tan, especially around your underarms.
Wear Loose, Dark Clothing
Wear loose, dark clothing and easily removable shoes to your appointment. Tight clothing or shoes can rub against the fresh tan, potentially leaving streaks or marks.
Remove Jewellery
Remove all jewellery before your appointment, including rings, bracelets, necklaces, and body piercings where possible. Jewellery can block the tanning solution and leave untanned lines or marks on your skin.
What to Wear During Your Tan
You may wear as much or as little as you like! Depending on your tan line preferences, you may wear a bikini, undergarments, or nude for no tan lines. We provide a private, comfortable environment for your session.
Remove Makeup
If you're getting a full-body tan, be sure to remove any makeup before your appointment. Fresh, clean skin allows the tan to develop evenly across your face and body.
Avoid Sun Exposure
Try to stay out of the sun for a few days leading up to your appointment. Sunburned or peeling skin can result in an uneven tan.
Hydrate
Drink plenty of water in the days leading up to your appointment to keep your skin hydrated from the inside out. Well-hydrated skin holds a tan better and lasts longer.
